Meet The Makers
Wayan Purna Widya | Kiba Lure
A native of Bali Indonesia, Wayan was born and raised in the Blahbatuh Gianyar district. Wayan was bitten by the fishing bug when he caught his first fish from shore at the tender age of 8.
As a young man, Wayan had to be innovative and creative regarding his fishing equipment, which led him to build his own lures out of leftover wood and makeshift tools.
His unwavering passion has led Wayan to develop the Kiba Lure brand we know and love so well today. Wayan says his favorite part of the lure-making process is taking the time to design the best possible body shape to impart the most effective action for each and every lure he produces.
Like all Lure Makers under the BaitBaller umbrella, Kiba Lures are handcrafted from start to finish from local sustainably sourced timber species such as Bentawas and Damar.
We at BaitBaller are very excited to have Wayan and the Kiba Brand under the BaitBaller umbrella and we look forward to assisting in the growth and development of his brand wherever we can.
